Las Flores and Mission Viejo Community Information
Las Flores
Las Flores is a unique area in Southern California that is unincorporated and situated in the hills of South Orange County. Separate enough from the big city, one can enjoy a quiet afternoon in Las Flores. At the same time, residents have quite enough in the Las Flores and are close enough to Mission Viejo and Irvine to get anything one could desire.
Mission Viejo
Mission Viejo is one of the largest master-planned communities in Saddleback Valley. It is a suburban area that has a population of over 100,000. Mission Viejo blends the seemingly opposing personalities of nature and culture. What you get is a pleasant area to live, work and raise a family. You will find trees lining the streets of one of the safest neighborhoods in the US. Mission Viejo was recognized as the safest city in the United States by a crime survey by Morgan Quitno in a 2007. Then just two years later, in 2009, Mission Viejo was dubbed the safest city in California by the CQ Press.
Las Flores and Mission Viejo Education
Most of the homebuyers I speak to are looking for homes close to good schools in the area. Research the quality schools in the area with the School Information tab on my website. The Capistrano Unified School District, or CUSD, provides educational services for both Mission Viejo and for Las Flores. Check out the Las Flores Elementary School, Las Flores Middle School and Tesoro High School. However, the Mission Viejo area is served by two school districts, CUSD and the Saddleback Valley Unified School Districts, or SVUSD. Both school districts have several schools in Mission Viejo.
